Adult-Adolescent Parenting Index (AAPI-2)

Quite a few centers are currently using the AAPI-2 - some are required to do so by grants or legislation. Many centers have used the AAPI-2 in the past and have discontinued use. Many centers feel that the scores do not reflect the changes and growth that is happening in families served. It seems that a social desirability bias is occurring with families wanting to appear strong at pretest, and more willing to be honest as posttest.
